Hello, dream-chasers and knowledge-seekers! I’m Devishankar Tumbali, a passionate Civil Services Faculty, mentor, and lifelong learner, thrilled to launch this blog as a space to inspire, educate, and connect with ambitious minds preparing for competitive exams like UPSC, APPSC, TSPSC, and beyond. With over 11 years of experience in teaching Indian Polity, History, and General Studies, I’m here to share insights, strategies, and stories to fuel your journey toward success.

A Glimpse Into My World

I hold a B.Tech in Computer Science from Gokul Institute of Technology and Sciences (JNTU, Kakinada) with a 72.24% aggregate, alongside distinctions in both Intermediate (M.P.C) and SSC. My academic journey continued with an MA in Political Science, an LLB, and a Double MA in Public Administration, equipping me with a deep understanding of governance, law, and public policy—core pillars of civil services preparation, reflecting my commitment to continuous learning.

My true calling lies in teaching and mentoring aspirants to conquer the challenging world of civil services. From Hyderabad to Pune, Bengaluru to New Delhi, I’ve guided students at esteemed institutions like Pragna IAS Academy, BRICS IAS Study Circle, and Nalanda Study Circle and Gandhi IAS Study Circle. Currently, I serve as a Full-Time Faculty and Career Counselor at Pragna IAS Academy in Hyderabad, while also managing my own guidance program.

What sets me apart? My unwavering passion for teaching, knack for breaking down complex concepts into clear, digestible lessons, and a commitment to blending traditional and innovative teaching methods. Having faced the UPSC Interview stage in 2014 and 2015, I bring firsthand insights into the preparation process, coupled with expertise in Indian Polity, History, and Governance.

When I’m not teaching or mentoring, you’ll find me cooking up a storm in the kitchen or engaging in community initiatives that spark positive change. I’m also the proud creator of SVADYAYA FOR UPSC, a YouTube channel dedicated to free, high-quality video lectures for UPSC and other competitive exams. My goal? Born in Parvathipuram, Andhra Pradesh, and now based in Hyderabad, I’m a proud Indian, married, and fluent in English and Telugu. My personal mantra is simple: inspire, educate, and uplift—whether in the classroom, on YouTube, or now, through this blog.
